Professor Dr. Mohammad Nashir Uddin is one of the leading and most respected Burn, Plastic, and Cosmetic Surgeons in Bangladesh, with more than 26 years of experience in surgery, reconstructive care, and patient-centered treatment. Known for his dedication, surgical expertise, and compassionate approach, he has helped thousands of patients recover physically and emotionally through modern and ethical surgical care.

Currently, he is serving as Professor & Director at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, where he plays a major role in advanced patient care, surgical leadership, academic training, and the development of future surgeons in Bangladesh.

Professor Dr. Mohammad Nashir Uddin completed his MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College in 1994. Soon after completing his internship, he joined the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) through the 17th BCS Health Cadre in 1997, beginning his long and distinguished journey in government medical service.

Driven by a deep passion for surgery, he successfully passed FCPS Part-I in Surgery in 1998 and started his formal surgical training as Assistant Registrar at Dhaka Medical College Hospital in 1999. After years of rigorous clinical training and surgical practice, he achieved FCPS in Surgery in 2003, becoming a Fellow of the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Throughout the early stages of his career, he served in several important positions including Assistant Registrar, Registrar, Resident Surgeon, and Junior Consultant at renowned government hospitals such as Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Mitford Hospital, and Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital. These years allowed him to build strong expertise in general surgery, trauma care, and emergency surgical management.

As his interest gradually grew toward reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, he pursued higher specialization in Plastic Surgery and completed his MS in Plastic Surgery from Dhaka Medical College Hospital in 2012. Following this achievement, he joined Faridpur Medical College Hospital as Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery and later continued his service at the Burn & Plastic Surgery Unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Over the years, Professor Dr. Nashir Uddin has received advanced international training in Burn Surgery, Hand Surgery, Breast Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, and Reconstructive Surgery from countries including Australia, Germany, Singapore, Turkey, Thailand, and India. These international experiences enabled him to adopt global standards and modern surgical techniques in his daily practice.

In recognition of his outstanding contribution to surgery and medical education, he earned the prestigious FACS (Fellow of the American College of Surgeons) in 2019. He was also awarded the internationally respected FRCS (UK) from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow, reflecting his professional excellence and global recognition in the field of surgery.

Alongside his clinical work, Professor Dr. Mohammad Nashir Uddin has always remained deeply involved in academic activities, research, and medical education. He has presented scientific papers at numerous national and international conferences and published research articles in respected medical journals. As a teacher and mentor, he has guided many young surgeons and postgraduate trainees throughout his career.

He is also actively involved in public health awareness and patient education. Through television appearances and educational discussions, he regularly speaks about burn injuries, reconstructive surgery, cosmetic procedures, and patient safety in simple and understandable language, helping people make informed healthcare decisions.

In addition to his government and academic responsibilities, Professor Dr. Nashir Uddin has been associated with AMZ Hospital since its beginning as Chief Consultant in Burn, Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery, where he continues to provide safe, ethical, and patient-focused care using modern treatment approaches.
